Powerful storms brought high winds and hail to parts of North Carolina throughout the afternoon and evening of Thursday, February 6, the National Weather Service said.
Robbie Foust posted footage from a security camera in his Raleigh home, showing his garage door starting to lower, but then retreating as rain and wind whip into the garage.
“I thought it might be a tornado so I got inside as quick as I could and didn’t realize the garage door didn’t actually close,” Foust told Storyful.
Although tornado warnings for the Raleigh area have expired, a flash flood warning was in effect through 7.30 pm, the NWS said. Credit: Robbie Foust via Storyful
