Gal Gadot concentrates on "Wonder Woman"

1 Nov – After landing the role of Wonder Woman in DC's upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", as well getting her own solo "Wonder Woman" movie in 2017, Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot has to reportedly turn down other works due to her commitment to the role.

Gadot was reportedly offered a role in "Ben Hur" as Esther, the love interest of the movie's titular character, but has decided to pass on it, JoBlo reports.

Latest rumours claim that the Amazonian princess will go through what can be considered a confusing timeline, if all the movies that she will be appearing in were to be pieced together based on their release date.

It is said that the first solo "Wonder Woman" movie is set in the 1920s. Wonder Woman a.k.a Princess Diana of Themyscira will be looking at the olden days through her own 'unique perspective'. It is also rumoured that there are already sequels planned and "Wonder Woman 2" is set during the World War II. It is only in "Wonder Woman 3" that she will be joining the Justice League again in the modern era.

However, since the solo movie only comes out after "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", it means Diana will be appearing first in a modern setting, and then in the '20s, and then back to the present time in 2017's "Justice League". Regardless of all the 'time travelling' Wonder Woman is bound to do, fans are still anticipating her appearances in the DC movies.

Gal Gadot will make her debut as Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", starring Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, set for release in March 2016.
