Friends of J.Lo and Ben Affleck Claim They're Once Again Moving Forward With Divorce Plans
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are reportedly making moves to file for divorce, according to a new report from the Daily Mail. Multiple sources tell the outlet that the couple have divorce papers "finalized," but they are "not yet turned in." This comes amid the pair spending the entire summer apart and putting their home on the market for $68 million. (Plus, let's not forget that Ben purchased himself a bachelor pad on J.Lo's literal birthday, which was certainly a choice.)
"They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them," one source who is apparently "close" to Jen and Ben explained. "At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn't. Honestly, in the end they could not come to a compromise. What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it."
Sounds pretty final, but...another source went ahead and told the outlet that "If it is only a question of putting the work in then you had better believe that [Jen] will turn it around." They added that the singer/actor "has thrown her heart and soul into her love story with Ben and will not give it up without a fight. From what I hear there is still a lot of love there, so there must be hope."
