What is the Friends reunion special about?
The Friends reunion special will be an unscripted hour-long event where the cast will revisit the original set and go down memory lane together. Fans can also expect to see “rare behind-the-scenes footage” during the event.
HBO Max emphasized that the special isn’t a new addition to the original 236 episodes.
“In order to avoid any misunderstanding about what this special is, we want to make it very clear that this is not a new, original episode of the series,” HBO Max said. “The cast will be appearing as themselves, not as their beloved characters.”
What's more, David teased on The Graham Norton Show that there's a fun surprise in store.
“There’s nothing scripted. We’re not in character. We’re all ourselves, the real people," he said on the BBC show. "Although there is one section of it that I don’t want to give away, but we all read something.”
