Fast Friends: Whitney Cummings to Host Friends Game Show at Max
Die-hard Friends fans are about to have their knowledge tested — with no apartment wager necessary.
In celebration of Friends‘ recent 30th anniversary, Max has ordered Fast Friends, a four-part game show that will challenge contestants on everything they know about the beloved NBC sitcom. Comedian and actress Whitney Cummings (Whitney, Undateable) has been tapped to host.

Fast Friends, which begins production in October, will test participants with Friends-themed trivia, puzzles and games, with one team winning the title of Ultimate Friends Fan. It will be filmed at New York City’s interactive Friends Experience location, allowing contestants to see the show’s iconic sets and re-live their favorite show moments while racing for the top prize.
“As a longtime fan of Friends, I am beyond thrilled to host the first-ever game show,” Cummings said in a statement. “After 30 years, the fandom surrounding this beloved series only continues to grow and now I have the great pleasure of awarding the ultimate fans with bragging rights for life.”
There’s currently no premiere timetable for Fast Friends, but all 10 seasons of Friends are currently available to stream on Max. The sitcom’s very first episode aired on Sept. 22, 1994; get in on TVLine’s anniversary-themed debate about which Friends character is actually the best friend.
