French President Macron Hit by Egg at Food Fair in Lyon
French President Emmanuel Macron was struck by an egg at a food service fair in Lyon, France, on September 27.
Macron had been visiting Sirha Lyon, a hospitality and food service exhibition, when the egg hit him, according to LyonMag.com. The newsroom reported the egg-throwing suspect, a 19-year-old male student, yelled “long live the revolution” and was taken into custody for assaulting a person holding public authority.
