French Police Disperse 'Project X' Street Party in Paris

Police dispersed a number of “clandestine gatherings” outside the Parisian landmark of Les Invalides on Saturday, June 12.

“Tonight, the FDO had to intervene to put an end to several clandestine gatherings or groups of people on the public road without respecting the curfew or barrier gestures,” the Préfecture de Police said.

Police evacuated the area and arrested three people at 11 pm, the newly-established curfew hour, they said.

News reports said Saturday’s street party, dubbed “Project X” by participants, was the third such gathering in a row over the weekend in defiance against public health restrictions.
