Freight train derails in southern Australia

STORY: Some 16 wagons carrying dozens of containers came off the tracks in the incident that occurred between Inverleigh and Gheringhap, around 100 kilometres south west of Melbourne, in the state of Victoria, the State Emergency Service (SES) said.

The SES said nobody was hurt in the event and the cause of the derailment is under investigation. Widespread flash flooding was reported across Victoria on Monday after heavy rain fell overnight.
