Top Glove Bhd today confirmed that four facilities have been affected by the spread of Covid-19.

In a statement today, the company identified the facilities that were located in Port Dickson (Negeri Sembilan), Sungai Puloh (Selangor), Shah Alam (Selangor) and Kulim (Kedah).

In the case of the Port Dickson facility, the company said all employees had been screened by the Health Ministry on Jan 14.

Staff at the Sungai Puloh factory will undergo mass screening today.

Screening of close contact of Top Glove staff at the Kulim and Shah Alam facilities was currently underway, said the company.

All related costs for employees, both foreign and local, will be borne by the company.

"Top Glove reiterates that the health and safety of its employees is a top priority.

"As the company continues to produce high-quality medical gloves to protect medical practitioners and frontliners across the world, we are dedicated to adhering to stringent measures to safeguard our employees as well as the communities we serve," said the company.

Top Glove has been identified as the source of the Teratai Covid-19 cluster, which has emerged as the largest cluster with 6,934 confirmed cases as of yesterday.
