Four people survive Philadelphia helicopter crash

Drone footage obtained by Reuters showed debris and remnants of the medical helicopter outside the Drexel Hill United Methodist Church, with first responders and emergency vehicles standing by in the densely populated residential neighborhood.

The chopper carrying the 2-month-old baby, a nurse and two helicopter crew members was on its way to a Philadelphia hospital on Tuesday afternoon (January 11) when it crashed on the front steps of the church.

All four occupants were able to get out of the helicopter without sustaining life-threatening injuries, officials said.

A police superintendent told local media it was "an absolute miracle" that no one was injured and that no trees or power lines were brought down in the crash.
