While we'll sadly be waiting even longer than expected for Tenet's release, fans of Christopher Nolan will be getting a bit of respite.

That's because Fortnite will be hosting a special Nolan-themed movie night this evening (June 26) with screenings of three classics from the mind-bending director.

The movies showing in full will be Inception, Batman Begins and The Prestige, with the evening dubbed Movie Night at Party Royale's Big Screen. Epic Games explained that the event will be a test to allow viewers to choose their countries and see available showtimes.

"Navigating distribution rights for different countries and languages for full movies is challenging," Epic Games explained in a statement. "As part of this first test, we wanted as many people to experience Movie Nite as possible.

"The film you'll be able to watch will depend on your country, and unfortunately we couldn't reach everyone with these screenings. We believe the idea of getting together with your friends and family at Party Royale to watch a movie is powerful and exciting, and we're looking at ways to increase global participation in the future."

They added: "And remember, just like any theatre – there's no broadcasting or recording these films during the show. So, make sure your crew is there live! Any streams or videos of these films will be subject to anti-piracy and DCMA regulations."

Fortnite previously debuted a trailer for Nolan's next movie Tenet last month, the release date of which has now been pushed back to August 12 amid the ongoing pandemic.
