Former Virginia Governor and Daughter of President Johnson Injured in McLean House Fire

Firefighters fought a roaring blaze at a home identified as that of former Virginia governor and US senator Chuck Robb and his wife, Lynda, in McLean, Virginia, early on December 22.

Fairfax County Fire/Rescue said two people were rescued and transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation was ongoing, firefighters said.

Justin Jouvenal of the Washington Post reported that the Robb family confirmed Chuck and Lynda Robb were in the home and were injured in the fire on Wednesday morning. “Chuck suffered smoke inhalation and Lynda second-degree burns,” Jouvenal tweeted.
