Markus Hicks, a former substitute teacher and volleyball coach who is accused of using a fake online identity to lure people into sexual acts, faces dozens of new charges, according to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.

Police said in a press release on Tuesday that Hicks was arrested on Monday and was charged with 63 new counts related to 10 new complainants.

Const. James Cadigan, the force's media relations officer, confirmed some of the new complainants are minors.

Hicks now faces 150 sexual violence charges involving 24 complainants.

Some of the charges include luring a child, disguise with intent, sexual assault and possession of child pornography.

The investigation on Hicks, 32, began last August. Since then police say they have uncovered tens of thousands of images and videos dating back 15 years.

Police also released a list of online aliases Hicks allegedly used to lure victims, including Isabella Ricci, Corrine Smith, Maria Winchester and Brittany Campbell.
