Footage Shows Damage Following Deadly Strike on Damascus

Early morning Israeli airstrikes on the Syrian capital Damascus killed at least five people and injured 15 others on Sunday, February 19, Syrian state media reported.

Footage by journalist Jaafar Younis shows damage to structures near the Citadel of Damascus, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The state-controlled Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported multiple educational and cultural sites had been damaged.

Citing a military source, SANA also reported a soldier was among those killed and that civilian homes had been damaged.
