A second eruption within three days at Sicily’s Mount Etna lit up the night sky in the early hours of May 21.

Sky Italia reported that the spectacle began just after 1:30 am.

According to Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, peak activity had finished around two and a half hours later.
