Florida's Sanibel Causeway Closes After Eta Brings 'Heavy Rain and Flooding'

The Sanibel Causeway in southwest Florida was closed after Hurricane Eta brought “heavy rain and flooding” to the region on Wednesday, November 11, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

The National Hurricane Center said Tropical Storm Eta had restrengthened into a hurricane, prompting storm surge warnings across Florida’s west coast.
