Florida man arrested for allegedly slapping woman with pizza slice during argument
KUALA LUMPUR, March 23 — Pizza is loved by all but it can also be a ‘weapon’ as experienced by a woman who was attacked with the food in Florida.
Ortelio Lazaro Alfonso, 39, has been charged in court for allegedly slapping the woman with a slice of pizza during an argument.
Fox News reported that the Marion County Sheriff’s Office had responded to a distress call of a possible domestic disturbance.
Questioned by police, Alfonso told them that he had an argument with the victim that saw him throwing the pizza slice and it hit her in the face.
It is unclear what the relationship was between Alfonso and the victim.
Meanwhile, the victim alleged that Alfonso slapped the left side of her face with the pizza after he got upset when she physically disciplined another individual in the home “on his bottom area”.
Police said pizza sauce was found on the front of the victim’s shirt, her shirt collar and the back of her shirt.
“Remnants of pizza” were also found in her hair and around her ear while pizza sauce was splattered on the walls and ceiling of the kitchen area.
“The defendant advised he did not physically strike the victim with his hands, just with the pizza,” police wrote in an affidavit.
