Florida Amusement Ride Stops Mid-Air, Causing Carriages to Flip Frantically
A woman at the Florida State Fair in Tampa filmed an amusement ride stopping mid-air, causing its carriages to flip frantically on February 17.
Video filmed by Brandi Freymuller shows the carriages of the Enterprise Ride flip clumsily as the ride spins to a halt.
Freymuller told Storyful people were getting sick and the staff stopped the ride. Storyful could not confirm what caused the ride to stop.
Another Facebook user said she was on the ride when it stopped, causing her to hang “midair upside down”, with no seat belts, and had to hang on to the bars in the carriage until they were rescued.
Footage posted to YouTube in 2018 shows the ride operating as normal. The carriages spin around the center structure at a high speed, allowing all the carriages to stay up-right. The ride does not stop when the carriages are suspended. Credit: Brandi Freymuller via Storyful
