Floodwater Inundates Capital of Corsica After Heavy Rain

A “stationary” thunderstorm dumped 1.7 inches of rain on the French island of Corsica on June 11, Meteo France reported.

Several areas of France were placed under weather warnings due to flooding, thunderstorms, and strong winds. The French weather service warned of “intense rains” continuing over the weekend.
