Flooding and Landslips Seen on Line Where Scottish Train Derailed

A train traveling near Stonehaven in Scotland derailed on the morning of August 12, after a night of heavy rain and flooding.

Video taken in Stonehaven and surrounding areas showed substantial flooding on Wednesday morning.

This footage, released by Network Rail Scotland, shows flooded tracks in the vicinity of Carmont, west of Stonehaven. The rail operator said a landslip had been reported in the area. According to reports, the train, traversing the Dundee-Aberdeen line, derailed near Carmont.
