Flooding Hits New South Wales After Days of Storms

Three days of storms in east Australia caused flooding in parts of New South Wales on November 23, 9 News reported.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued several major flood alerts for north and central New South Wales, with flooding set to peak late on Tuesday.

Drone footage posted by Jack Fathers shows the extent of floodwaters in Gunnedah, where the river levels were likely to peak near 8.10 meters, according to the town’s local council.

Multiple rescues from vehicles were conducted overnight by the state emergency service, the council said.
