Flooded creeks and water runoff still posed a threat to communities in California’s Kern County, the local fire department said on Monday, March 13.

All evacuation warnings and orders remained in place, the Kern County Fire Department said, as “firefighters took advantage of a break in the weather to make progress with community damage assessments and preparations for the next forecasted storm.”
