'Floating Head' of Tory Peer Addresses UK's House of Lords

Conservative life peer Baroness Buscombe addressed the United Kingdom’s House of Lords virtually on January 28, but to viewers appeared as a disembodied head floating against a black background.

Nick Lester of PA Media tweeted the video and later reported that “Buscombe’s black backdrop and apparent black clothing created the optical illusion on the television feed.”

Buscombe was speaking on the issue of access to COVID-19 vaccines to critical care patients under the age of 70, and asked that the matter be taken to the Joint Committee on Vaccinations. Credit: UK Parliament via Storyful
