Flights Canceled at Eindhoven Airport After 'Firearms-Like Object' Discovered in Carry-on

Long lines of passengers were seen at Eindhoven airport in The Netherlands on June 9, after a possible firearms discovery led to the terminal’s closure, De Telegraaf reported.

Dutch military police said an object “which resembled a firearm” was found in a passenger’s carry-on luggage.

At least 10 departing flights were canceled, De Telegraaf said.

Eindhoven Airport asked travelers whose flights were canceled to leave the airport and rebook online at home.

After several hours, the terminal was reopened and passengers were gradually allowed back into the terminal, the airport said. Credit: Sandra Ewalds via Storyful
