The CDC had continued a recommendation of “postponing travel and staying home” during and after the holiday season, as COVID-19 cases continue to surge across the country.
On Monday, January 4, Flightradar24 reported there were 10,767 active flights as of 10.48 am EST, compared to 16,550 at the same time on the first Monday of 2020.
