Flash flooding caused by record rainfall affected parts of Missouri in the early hours of Tuesday, July 26, with six to 10 inches falling in areas, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Video filmed by Twitter user @Patrico1057 shows the flooded Interstate 70.

The NWS said Interstate 70 was closed that morning near Mid Rivers Mall Drive due to flooding. It said the rain would taper off around 10 am. Credit: @Patrico1057 via Storyful
