Red flag warnings were in effect in Plumas County, California on August 31, as officials warned of “extreme fire behavior” from the massive Dixie Fire amid increasing winds.
Footage released on Facebook by Plumas County Search and Rescue shows the monumental scale of the fire in a forested area near Beckwourth Genesee Road in Plumas County, California.
As of August 31, the Dixie Fire had burned 777,741 Acres (1,215 square miles), with 48 percent of its perimeter contained.
