Flag Raised at Pulse Nightclub Memorial on Veterans Day to Honor Army Reservists Killed in Shooting

A new flagpole to honor veterans was raised on Thursday, November 11, at a memorial for the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida.

Video released by Orlando Police shows the flag being raised and a flag wreath being placed in front of it. Photos of US Army Reservists, Captain Antonio Brown and Specialist Angel Candelario-Padro, who both killed during the Pulse shooting, were brought to the memorial on Thursday.

The memorial is dedicated to the 49 people killed in Pulse nightclub shooting in 2016. It was established “to be a sanctuary of love, hope and healing,” according to its website. Credit: Orlando Police via Storyful
