SHOP IT: Amazon, $26 (originally $31)
What is it?
On sale for just $26, the L8star Fitness Tracker is a fraction of the price of competing smartwatches. The waterproof device is equipped with heart rate and sleep tracking so that you can follow your sleep cycles and aerobic capacity with each activity.
The fitness tracker features six sports modes, including running, cycling, and skipping and is engineered with a built-in 3D sensor and pedometer to track steps taken, calories burnt, and distance achieved.
Beyond its fitness tracking capabilities, the L8star watch alerts users to call and message notifications, sedentary reminders and has an alarm clock, among other features.
Its 1.3" IPS display features large, easily readable text to check your stats on the go, and the $26 watch even has a remote camera shooting function.
What people are saying
Most L8star Fitness Tracker users agree that the smartwatch is a great deal for its low price tag. "High-end product yet low cost," writes one user. "Has a lot of great features and very accurate too! Some great features that we both liked our SMS alert, sleep monitor and a multi-sport mode. We could not believe how accurate this smartwatch is."
"The charge lasts so long," according to another shopper. "Much better and much more accurate than two other fitness trackers I've used. It is comparable to Fitbits. I tried it on one arm and my old Fitbit on the other arm; they were almost identical in steps walked after a day. This beautiful watch looks a lot more expensive than it is—pretty and colourful display. I would recommend it to anyone."
However, before you head to checkout, some shoppers note that the watch's single-button design can be a bit bothersome. "The single button can be a little difficult to get used to at first, but eventually you will get used to it," reads one review.
"All in all, [I] would not buy again," writes one user. "I would rather spend $20 more and get a watch with buttons and a touch screen."
If you're interested in trying out a fitness tracking watch without investing a lot of money, the L8star Fitness Tracker is an incredible deal. With nearly 5,000 five-star ratings, users love the watch's accuracy and health-focused features. However, if you're looking for a 100 per cent touchscreen watch or one with several control buttons, the L8star Fitness Tracker may not be for you.
