First Snowfall of the Season Brings Blizzard-Like Conditions to North Carolina Mountains

North Carolina received its first significant snowfall of the season on December 1, with some mountainous areas of the state forecast to receive more than a foot of snow, local media reported.

A cold front with strong winds brought snow across much of the state early on Tuesday. This footage shows “near blizzard conditions” atop Roan Mountain in North Carolina, shared by Billy Bowling.
