'First Snow of the Season' Covers Colorado Mountains Near Denver

Snowfall covered mountain roads near Boulder, Colorado, on Thursday, October 27, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Video posted by Ken Gaffga on Thursday shows light snow accumulating on the ground in Arvada, a suburb between Boulder and Denver.

Gaffga said that it was the “first snow of the season.”

The NWS warned drivers in the area to be aware of hazardous travel conditions, saying that four to eight inches (10 to 20 cm) of snow may fall in mountain regions at an elevation of 9,000 feet (2,743 meters) and above. Credit: Ken Gaffga via Storyful
