Nepal officials have said that medical staff and frontline workers will be given first priority for inoculations. Nepal has reported some 268,310 cases and at least 1,975 deaths from COVID-19 so far, according to official data.

India's foreign ministry said on Tuesday (January 19) "supplies under grant assistance" would be shipped to the Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and the Seychelles, while Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Mauritius await regulatory clearances to receive the vaccines.
