Police officer injured and 3 arrested after fireworks thrown at Acton Police Station

Three people were arrested after fireworks were thrown at police officers, injuring one, in west London on Halloween.

Online footage showed officers in Acton dodging the missiles thrown by youths in the area.

The Met Police said it made the arrests and one officer was treated for "minor injuries" following the incident at Acton police station.

A spokesperson said: "At approximately 20:10hrs on Tuesday, 31 October fireworks were set off towards Acton Police Station."One officer was treated for minor injuries."Officers from the Territorial Support Group attended the location to assistlocal officers with the incident. "Three males were arrested in connection with this incident and enquiriescontinue.

Officers across the country had to deal with similar incidents on Halloween being reported as far afield as Scotland, Surrey and Birmingham.
