Fireworks Thrown at Military Vehicles as Israeli Forces Prepare to Demolish Home of Tel Aviv Shooting Suspect

Fireworks were thrown at Israeli military vehicles in the West Bank town of Naalin in the early hours of Friday, March 10, as security forces prepared to demolish the home of a man suspected of shooting three people in Tel Aviv on Thursday.

Footage by Palestinian outlet Jmedia shows fireworks going off and fires burning as armored vehicles drive down Naalin’s main street. Quds News Network said the footage was captured as the military left the area.

Israeli forces entered the West Bank town after police said three people were injured when a suspect opened fire on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv at around 8:40 pm, following a day of protests in the city over judicial reforms.

According to police, the suspect was killed following the shooting. Police said, “Two policemen and two civilians who were in the area tried to make contact and killed the terrorist.”

In a statement reported by Roya Palestine, a Hamas spokesperson claimed the shooting was in response to an Israeli operation in Jenin in which three Palestinians were killed earlier that day. Credit: Jmedia via Storyful
