Firefighters Rescue Over 100 Geese Endangered During Blizzard in Northeast China

Firefighters rescued more than 100 geese after a shed collapsed due to strong winds and snowfall in Panjin city in China’s Liaoning province on Sunday, November 7, according to Liaoning Fire.

Video posted by China Fire shows firefighters braving “blizzard” conditions to rescue the gaggle of geese, the department wrote in a caption.

Temperatures dropped as low as negative four degrees Celsius (24.8 degrees Fahrenheit) on Sunday, Panjin Meteorology reported. According to news reports, Sunday’s weather was a result of the strongest early-season cold front of the past decade. Credit: China Fire via Storyful
