Firefighters Inspect Damage After Earthquake in Sichuan Province

Chinese military officials said a strong earthquake struck Lushan County in Sichuan province on June 1, with four deaths and 14 injuries reported.

While Chinese officials reported a magnitude of 6.1, the US Geological Survey registered a lower magnitude of 5.9, with a depth of about six miles.
