Firefighters Douse Blaze at London Apartment Block With 'Grenfell-Like' Cladding

A fire that spread across three floors of an apartment block near Canary Wharf, London, on May 7, was under control by midday, the London Fire Brigade said.

Around 125 firefighters and 20 fire engines were sent to the building, at New Providence Wharf in Poplar.

Two men were taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and a further 38 adults and four children were treated at the scene, the fire service said.
