Firefighters Work to Cool Flames as Dixie Fire Nears 700,000 Acres

Firefighters worked to contain the Dixie Fire burning in California as the blaze reached over 699,600 acres, officials said on August 19.

This footage, posted by Cal Fire’s Lassen-Modoc unit on August 19, shows a firefighting aircraft dropping retardant over the flames near Janesville, California.
