Firefighters Battle Reignited Wildfire Near Graveson in Bouches-du-Rhone
Firefighters worked to contain a wildfire that reignited in the mountains near Graveson, France, on Monday, July 18.
Pompiers 13 said 500 firefighters, two helicopters, and a Canadair firefighting plane were battling the blaze at the Montagnette mountain peak near Graveson.
“Aided by a southerly wind of 20 km/h to 40 km/h, the fire traveled 105 hectares,” firefighters said on Monday.
According to local news reports the fire was under control as of Sunday but reignited and grew again on Monday due to dry conditions and high winds.
