Firefighters Battle Flames at Cape Town Parliament Building After Blaze Reignites

A fire at South Africa’s National Assembly in Cape Town flared up again on January 3, a day after a damaging blaze started at the building.

Footage posted to Twitter on Monday by Rachel Kay shows smoke and flames coming from the roof of the building.

The flareup came after the fire was reported contained earlier in the day, News 24 said. According to the news outlet, six fire engines and 34 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
