Firefighters Battle Fast-Moving Wildfire Near California's Pismo Beach

A fast-moving vegetation fire in the Avila Beach area of California burned persistently through the afternoon of Monday, June 15, and into June 16, according to California fire officials.

This video shows the billowing smoke from Pismo Beach around 4.23 pm on Monday afternoon.

An evacuation order issued for the City of Pismo Beach was lifted around 11.30 pm Monday night.

Officials said Tuesday morning that the fire had burned over 400 acres and was 20 percent contained, according to local media.
