Firefighters Battle Bridger Foothills Fire Burning Near Bozeman

Firefighters battled a fire northeast of Bozeman, Montana, on the night of September 4.

The Bridger Foothills Fire, which broke out on Friday afternoon, had burnt an estimated 80 acres by the evening and was zero percent contained, according to local reports.

Custer Gallatin National Forest said the fire was located located about 2.5 miles up Bridger Foothills Trail. Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office said all hikers were safe and had been accounted for.
