A firefighter battling the rapidly growing Beckwourth Complex Fire in California recorded dramatic conditions near the small town of Doyle on July 10.
This video, taken by Zachary Potter, shows crews fighting the blaze taking shelter inside a vehicle as wind and flames roar outside.
As of July 12, the fire, formed after the Sugar and Dotta fires merged, had grown to nearly 89,748 acres (about 140 square miles), and was 23 percent contained, according to officials. More than 2,300 personnel were involved in fighting the blaze, one of a number in California and Oregon that have been worsened by hot and dry conditions. Credit: Zachary Potter via Storyful
