Fire Battalion Chief Rescues Dog From Frozen Pond in Odessa, Texas

A local firefighter saved a dog from a semi-frozen pond in Odessa, Texas, on Wednesday, February 17, footage released by Odessa Fire Rescue shows.

Video taken by Div Capt Cody Ritchie shows Odessa Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Larry Norrid pulling the dog to safety after it had been in the water for half an hour, according to local news reports.

Norrid told NewsWest9 that the dog, named Suitey, is doing well now.
