Ferry Rocks as Post-Tropical Storm Earl Lashes Newfoundland

Parts of Canada’s easternmost coastal regions were lashed with rain and wind as post-tropical storm Earl hit on Sunday, September 11.

Video taken by Coleen John Boland shows a ferry boat braving rough conditions Sunday morning from Portugal Cove-St Philip’s toward Bell Island, in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Rainfall warnings remained in place for much of the area on Monday. Reports said that over 200 mm (7.9 inches) of rain had fallen since Saturday in the region around St John’s. Credit: Coleen John Boland via Storyful
