Strong winds bore down on Boston, Massachusetts, on Wednesday, October 7, as severe thunderstorms hit the city.
Footage captured by Jackson Myers shows the Charlestown Ferry moving across the waters of the Charles River despite strong gusts that reduced visibility.
Myers told Storyful he was “out for a walk” after work and wasn’t prepared for “crazy winds.” He started filming this video after noticing the ferry returning from Long Wharf as the storm rolled in.
The National Weather Service forecasted isolated severe thunderstorms with wind speeds of up to 60 mph, penny-sized hail, and minor street flooding for the region on the same date. Credit: Jackson Myers via Storyful
