Will Ferrell to Headline (Talladega Nights-Like?) GOLF Comedy for Netflix
Netflix announced on Wednesday, ahead of its Upfront presentation to advertisers, that it is officially teeing up a 10-episode golf comedy starring SNL vet Will Ferrell and Ramy‘s Ramy Youssef.
In GOLF (yes, all caps), which is co-created by Ferrell, Youssef and Josh Rabinowitz, Ferrell will play a fictional golf legend.

No details have been shared yet on Youssef’s character.
This Netflix announcement comes a little over a year after our sister site Deadline reported that Ferrell and producing partner Jessica Elbaum were teaming up with Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman’s shingle on a golf comedy about a PGA rival, and that would be in the vein of Ferrell’s Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and Blades of Glory. It is unclear if Netflix’s GOLF is that exact same project, though many of the principal players remain the same.
Youssef and Rabinowitz will serve as showrunners on GOLF and executive-producer with Ferrell, Elbaum, Alix Taylor, Johnson, Bergman, Nena Rodrigue and Andy Campagna.
