Fencing Returns Around US Capitol Ahead of 'Justice for J6' Rally

The return of security fencing outside of the United States Capitol was approved by the Capitol Police Board ahead of a rally scheduled for September 18.

Footage by Maureen Cohen Harrington on September 15 shows the temporary fence beginning to be reinstalled outside the Capitol ahead of the weekend’s “Justice for J6” protest.

Capitol Police have also asked for National Guard support on the day, “should the need arise”.

The DC rally is one of several organized around the US by Look Ahead America, on September 18 and on the following weekend. The group said the rallies were against what it called the “tyrannical and inhumane treatment” of the “political prisoners” arrested or charged in connection with the January 6 Capitol riot.
