FDA panel backs booster shot for J&J Covid-19 vaccine

ALEXIS CHRISTOFOROUS: We want to just bring you some breaking news right now. An FDA panel has unanimously backed J&J's COVID-vaccine booster shot for people 18 years and older. We've got shares of J&J higher but not as high as you might think following that news, up now just about 3/4 of a percent.

And, of course, this comes the same day that the FDA said that it's going to take another look at Moderna's vaccine for adolescents. They're delaying their decision on that vaccine for people 12 to 17 years old while they look at the risk of a rare heart condition.

But again, just moments ago, an FDA panel unanimously backing J&J's COVID vaccine booster shot just two months after receiving the J&J vaccine. We're going to have more on that--
