Dick Wolf announced a spring crossover between “FBI” and its spinoff “FBI: Most Wanted” at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena on Sunday.
“There has been a wonderful initial reception. The show to me is quite an insane panel. They are inextricably linked in terms of attitude, storytelling is very different but will lend itself to crossovers,” the longtime “Law & Order” producer said of the two shows.
“And I guess my major announcement today is we will be doing a crossover in the spring. We’ve had pretty good luck with them in the past.”
“He was thinking that the crossover should happen in Morocco,” “FBI: Most Wanted” star Julian McMahon said with a chuckle.
“The crossover would be something that starts in New York and expands,” Wolf explained. “They’re based out of New York, that’s the physical similarity even though they’re not there. So, it’s still the same key personnel are operating on both shows.”
“FBI: Most Wanted” follows McMahon as Jess LaCroix, an “agent’s agent” who is at the top of his game, and oversees the team from the FBI’s Most Wanted Unit, which is assigned the most extreme and egregious cases. Other stars include Keisha Castle-Hughes, Roxy Sternberg, Kellan Lutz and Nathaniel Arcand.
“FBI: Most Wanted” airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on CBS.
